Inspired by Revelation 21:4 – “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
The thought and promise of heaven is one that brings all of us comfort, and the last line of each verse I have thought of as a rallying cry. At certain times of life, there are no new words to bring comfort. No unheard phrases or sayings that can unlock the peace we need. All we have is the repetition of the things we know, the scriptures. We can only just keep pushing through the trial one step at a time. The final line is one of those phrases we can just repeat until we’re there on that final day.
